In the village of Rakova Noga, near Kreševo, the ‘Hobbiton’ tourist resort was built, based on the film series “Lord of the Rings”, and it represents a new tourist attraction in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Five cottages, two of which are completely finished, look like they came out of the “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” movies, offering a pleasant and peaceful stay in the beautiful nature surrounding of the village Rakova Noga in Kreševo.
“We currently have two completed cottages, and we plan to finish the remaining three by spring. The agreement was to build five cottages, four cottages for four sisters and one for parents, and that each of us decorate our cottage according to our own wishes,” said the owner of the settlement, Marija Miličević for FENA.
She added that their inspiration was New Zealand but they decided to introduce some originality into the cottages, i.e. to bring the spirit and tradition of Kreševo into their names and arrangement.
Miličević explained that each house has 25 m2 of living space, which can accommodate four people.
She pointed out that the plan is to build a children’s playground, as well as bring in villagers who will be able to offer guests home-cooked meals and occasionally organize open days.
“A large number of people have visited our village. We had about 1,000 visitors in a month. The price of a night’s stay varies depending on the season, weather conditions, rental period and promotional offers. Generally, the price of accommodation ranges from 50 to 100 euros,” said Miličević.
She concluded that the main goal of their project is the tourist promotion of Kreševo.
