During a recent patrol, Dutch EUFOR soldiers witnessed a shocking car accident on their route. A truck had overturned after swerving to avoid a reckless overtaking car, which fled the scene moments later. The truck driver was found unconscious and bleeding.

Without hesitation, the Dutch platoon commander and two Combat Life Savers rushed to help. With the truck door jammed, they climbed through the roof opening, kicked out the front window, and carefully removed the injured driver, supporting his head to prevent further harm.

Following precise medical protocol, they opened the airway and stabilized the driver in the recovery position. As the ambulance arrived, the team handed over full medical documentation, ensuring continuity of care.

Bystanders were cooperative, grateful, and deeply moved by the soldiers’ swift and selfless response.

Through their courage and compassion, EUFOR soldiers once again proved that solidarity and humanity are at the heart of every mission.

”We are here for all citizens of BiH, ready to help, protect, and serve,” it was stated by EUFOR.
