Čović: In Two-Three Days we will know if there will be the Executive Authority

Dragan Čović nap.baAfter yesterday’s meeting with Bakir Izetbegović, the Deputy President of the Party of Democratic Action, the President of HDZ B&H Dragan Čović said that in the next two or three days it will be known whether or not we will have the executive authority in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

”It is pointless to hold more meetings and talk about mutual understanding at these meetings, after which everyone works on their own again. That can no longer happen, I clearly told Mr. Izetbegović today that it’s time for us to start working. We have not been working for 50 days, and we got the votes in the elections. Therefore, we must account to the people for what we do”, said Čović.

He specified that he does not avoid the trilateral meeting of the leaders of the coalition, but that he already expressed his attitude to Željko Komšić, the leader of the Democratic Front, five months ago.

“We require the appointment of the executive administration for certain companies and there is no need to make nuclear physics of it. It is very clear that this is done in a day or two in other countries, and we have been waiting for it for such a long time”, Čović said.

When asked what would happen if the Democratic Front does not agree to these requirements and whether this situation will spill over to the state level, Čović said that it is already slowly reflecting.

”Izetbegović and I were supposed to have a meeting with Mladen Ivanić today regarding some state-owned companies, but the meeting was canceled. One can easily guess why, because you cannot make a blockade on one level, which is what we have now, and negotiate that issue on another level”, added Čović.
