Portuguese football legend, 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, has signed a new two-year contract with his current club Al Nassr, the Saudi Pro League club announced on Thursday.
“A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let’s make history together,” wrote the Portuguese on his Instagram profile.
Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Al Nassr at the beginning of 2023 as a free agent, after leaving Manchester United, and his arrival triggered a real wave of expensive player transfers that raised the level of football in the Saudi Pro League.
The Saudi club is the fifth team for which Cristiano Ronaldo has played. He started his career at Sporting Lisbon and won the most trophies playing for Manchester United and Real Madrid. After leaving the “Royal Club,” he moved to Juventus in Turin.
In the Al Nassr jersey, the captain of the Portuguese national team has scored 93 goals in 105 appearances.
