During the meeting in Sarajevo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of B&H Igor Crnadak and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia Miro Kovac assessed that the bilateral relations between these two countries are very good and that they want to continue to strengthen the existing cooperation.
“Today we have agreed that, as a first neighbors, we continue to strengthen our cooperation. Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia have very good bilateral relations, but we agreed that it is not enough and that we want much better,” said Crnadak.
He emphasized that Croatia is very important partner when it comes to the economy for B&H, and their commitment to continue with strengthening of that part of cooperation.
The ministers discussed the European integration process of B&H, and Crnadak repeated that B&H will submit the application for membership on the 15th of February, and will have the strong support of Croatia on that way.
Speaking about the announcement of the submission of candidatures for membership into the EU, Minister Miro Kovac said that Croatia, as a neighboring country and member of the EU, will actively support B&H’s application for membership.
He announced that he will try to sign an agreement on European partnership during the return visit of the Minister Crnadak to Croatia, which would create a framework “that we provide the necessary support for the first steps after submitting of the application.”
