Croatia Opened Borders bnn.baBorder crossings Bajakovo and Tovarnik have been opened for all traffic on Friday at 5 p.m., announced the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Croatia.

“The border was unblocked at 5 p.m. All cars regardless of the license plates can enter Croatia, as well as trucks”, said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Croatia Ranko Ostojic.

Border crossings towards Serbia Ilok, Ilok 2, Principovac, Principovac 2, Erdut, and Batina remain closed for all traffic.

According to the Serbian media, the response of Serbia on the opening of the border was expected at 9 p.m. last night.

As a reminder, relations between Serbia and Croatia have been deteriorated after Croatia closed the border crossing Bajakovo for all freight traffic, wanting to put pressure on Serbia to direct one part of the refugees towards Hungary. After that, at midnight on Wednesday, Serbia activated countermeasures and started blocking the entrance of Croatian goods across the border.
