Croatian Council in BiH said that Germany is destroying the Dayton Peace Agreement

The Croatian National Assembly (HNS) of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) commented on the resolution on BiH, which was adopted by the representatives of the German Bundestag at yesterday’s session.

HNS proposes “the supporters of unitarism from the Bundestag to adopt the same resolution on Belgium and deliver it to Mr. Michel”, referring to the president of the European Council.

Nevertheless, although HNS refers to Belgium and the system of regulation there, it is interesting that Belgium recently supported the position of the Netherlands that the concept of constitutive is discriminatory after the adoption of the new Strategic Compass.

They believe that yesterday’s Bundestag resolution regarding BiH “shows how much the German authorities do not know or refuse to accept, the facts about BiH and the nature of its multinationalism and the equality of its constituent peoples.”

”In addition, today’s resolution is a de facto call for the demolition of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which Germany advocated for in 1995. The model of institutional federalism on an equal footing through legitimate political representatives is the foundation of Dayton and the only guarantor for a European BiH. We suggest to all members of the Bundestag who supported the resolution proposed by the radical Bosniak unitarist (Adis Ahmetovic), to send an identical resolution to Mr. Charles Michel and the state of Belgium. We already know the answer to that,” the HNS concluded yesterday.

To recall, yesterday the Bundestag adopted a resolution on BiH, and representatives of the SPD, FDP, and the Greens called on the German government led by Olaf Scholz to provide greater support to BiH.

”Reforms have been blocked for decades in order to maintain a favorable environment for corruption. Now some political leaders are increasingly relying on separatism, hatred, and hate speech to distract the public from the gridlock. In particular, the political actions of nationalist politicians such as Milorad Dodik, currently a member of the state Presidency, and Dragan Covic, president of the HDZ BiH party, aim to destroy BiH as a country and home to a diverse population,” said the representatives, Klix.ba writes.
