Croatian Member of the Presidency speaks about the Third Entity

Dragan Covic klix.baIn a recent interview for a local TV station in Mostar, Dragan Čović, the Croatian member of the Presidency of BiH and the leader of the HDZ BiH, for the first time “drawn” the border of the third, Croatian, entity of BiH.

“In every organization of BiH in which the Croats will be defined as a constituent and sovereign people, Posavina, Žepče and part of central Bosnia and part of Herzegovina will be ours. This is the answer to everyone,” said Čović.

In November 2015, in an interview for the Nezavisne Novine (Independent newspaper), Čović was strictly against the third entity.

“I completely disagree with the idea of a third entity. The third entity is a danger. I am for a modern, organized BiH”, said Čović then for Nezavisne Novine.

Will you advocate a modern constitution of BiH or three federal units?

“I will advocate for a modern constitution of BiH. I have never spoke about three federal units. It is taken out of context. I’ve always said that if there is a RS as a federal unit, then the other two nations need to find a counterweight as well. In my opinion, BiH could be a state with to five multi-ethnic regions, which would have instruments of the executive, legislative and judicial authorities, but would also include certain territories. All of this would be done in order to avoid for the country to move to Sarajevo in the next ten years, “added leader of the HDZ.
