Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced on Twitter that the genocide in Srebrenica was “a defeat for humanity”.
“It has been 27 years since the genocide in Srebrenica, which represents the defeat of humanity. We remember with reverence the more than 8,000 Bosniak men, boys and civilians killed in Srebrenica. We deeply sympathize with their families and loved ones,” wrote Plenkovic.
Today marks the 27th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, and in Potocari today there are thousands of people attending the commemoration and funeral for 50 more identified victims.
