The Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH received a request for securing additional funds to the Central Election Commission of BiH in the amount of 4,173,000 BAM, in accordance with the Law on Amendments to the Election Law of BiH, on the occasion of which a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Muhamed Hasanović was held today with CEC representatives.

“At the meeting, the mentioned request was discussed, and representatives of the CEC explained in detail the need for additional funds, which the Ministry will carefully analyze and express itself within the deadline prescribed by law,” announced the Ministry of Finance and Treasury of BiH.

Local elections were announced based on the Decision of High Representative Christian Schmidt of March 26 this year, which passed the Law on Amendments to the BiH Election Law, when three pilot projects should be implemented with the use of new technologies, with the aim of a more transparent election process.

The Ministry notes that the CEC has been granted funds in the amount of 7,418,000 BAM so far.
