Reisul-ulema of the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein Kavazović was visited by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković with a delegation today in the Administrative Building of the Islamic Community in Sarajevo.
After welcoming Prime Minister Plenković and the Croatian delegation, the reisul-ulema thanked for the support provided by the Government of the Republic of Croatia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointing out the importance of good relations between these two friendly countries.
The MINA news agency reports that the current social and political situation was discussed at the meeting, and the commitment of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosniaks to European and NATO integration was once again confirmed.
Prime Minister Plenković emphasized that the Government of the Republic of Croatia is a partner and friend in relation to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also added that the Republic of Croatia will actively advocate for the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The participants of the meeting agreed that the relations between the two countries, as well as the relations between Bosniaks and Croats, should continue to improve through building mutual trust and interreligious dialogue.
At the end of the meeting, the reisul-ulema presented Prime Minister Plenković with the monograph of the multimedia exhibition “Under the sky of faith – Islam and Europe in the experience of Bosnia”, and it was announced that the exhibition will soon be set up in Zagreb as well.
