Croatian President: In the Past, the HVO and the ARBiH acted as Allies

During the commemoration of the 28th anniversary of the liberation operation ”Cincar”, in which the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) forces in cooperation with the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) liberated parts of Kupres, Croatian President Zoran Milanovic also addressed those present.

Milanovic recalled the difficult war days, but also the time of harmony and unity, and the great support that Croatia gave to the liberation operations.

He emphasized the significance of the ”Cincar” operation, saying that ”This was the beginning of the end of the aggression against BiH.” Milanovic also reminded that in October 1994, the HVO and the ARBiH acted as allies, that it was good, but that it is different today, ”God knows what is happening with that alliance now”.

Moreover, he reiterated that the HVO led to Banja Luka being threatened and about to surrender, not NATO bombers, and that ”the Bosnian war was also our war”.

Milanovic characterized BiH as a ”Dayton international agreement on the sharing of influence”, and pointed out that, despite everything, he sees BiH as a friendly neighboring country.

Additionally, Milanovic again referred to the election results and added that the changes to the electoral law did not bring much:

”Elections did not change the oppression of Croats. The principle remained intact, and that is the principle of injustice and dishonesty. This must be changed and replaced.”

He also emphasized that the survival of Croats in BiH requires the help of the Croatian state and that it is positive that ”the bickering has stopped” and that almost everyone in Croatia agrees on the issue of BiH.

As the most powerful aid instrument he singled out the European Union (EU) and NATO and compared it to the ammunition, tanks, and soldiers that Croatia sent to BiH during the war, Klix.ba reports.
