Croatian President Zoran Milanović published a statement entitled “Andrej Plenković entered the Wikipedia of Croatian political dishonor as a measuring stick for pranks, lies and manipulations” in which he criticizes Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
At the beginning of the announcement, he indicated that Plenković is running away from the journalist’s questions about Ivan Turudić and that he invents internal and external enemies of Croatia, and repeatedly repeats that he is a liar and a manipulator.
The announcement is actually Milanović’s response to Plenković’s claims that Milanović’s legacy will be that he emancipated primitivism, vulgarity and simpleton.
“Andrej Plenković is the main protector of crime and corruption, the first and only Prime Minister in the history of the Croatian state who politically literally occupied the DORH and put it under his direct supervision. With ‘Operation Turudić’, he wants to hide or erase all traces of corruption, crime and party-political concessions leading to former and current officials of his government and party,” Milanović pointed out.
He points out that Plenković is giving Turudić a legal stick with which he will strike fear into people’s bones.
“During the evil era of Andrej Plenković, Croatia became the most corrupt in its history, and the unthinkable became a reality: he tasked a lover and friend of criminals, Turudić, to fight against crime. ‘credible’ Governments are threatened by investigations,” says the Croatian president.
He emphasized that Prime Minister Plenković is lying to Croatian citizens.
“Andrej Plenković is a liar, a political fake who has been deceiving Croatian citizens since the first day at the head of the HDZ, whose leadership he took over as a fraudulent bureaucrat. In the history of Croatian democracy, he will remain the measuring stick for political pranks,” claims Milanović.
He believes that Plenković and Turudić, the current head of the State Attorney’s Office of the Republic of Croatia, are equally lying.
“In the morning he says he asked for a security check on Turudić, in the afternoon he says he didn’t ask because he can’t. He lies identically to Turudić when he tells the cameras that he didn’t see Mamić and that only an hour after he sat in the car with him. Lying has become the official policy of his Government, whose members must repeat Plenković’s lies, trampling on their own dignity,” he pointed out.
He called Plenković a smug manipulator who uses the state for personal positioning and promotion.
“In the eight years of his rule, there is not a single decision that he made without first weighing his own interest. Today, feeding on Brussels’ instructions as he once did on croissants, he is ready to sweep the Croatian national interest under the carpet just so that his name remains in the drum for filling European seats.
“He never once dared to stand up loudly and clearly in Brussels in defense of the real interests of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and essentially the interests of the Republic of Croatia, because he leaves political insolence for household needs,” the Croatian president says.
He emphasized that Plenković embarrassed Croatia when he “ordered the UN to vote against peace in Gaza”.
“He seized the power and power that survives only thanks to the support of cheap parliamentary ethno-businessmen, Uskok suspects and some political lunatics, with their help he attacks the independent institutions of the state and turns them in turn into his party service”, he indicated.
The Croatian president claims that Plenković made up his mind and is playing Franjo Tuđman.
“Andrej Plenković has made up his mind so much that he plays a follower of Franjo Tuđman, with whom he has absolutely nothing in common. So he dares to measure the national sentiments of his political opponents, even though he only discovered his national sentiment when he ran out of other qualifications for a political career. And his national sentiments stop to be important as soon as he crosses Bregana, then he becomes the European record holder in Ursula von der Leyen so that he can proudly wear the label of Ursula’s run,” he concluded, Klix.ba writes.
