The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Nihad Uk, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Valeri Ivanov Yotov. During the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation with a special focus on culture, as a space that naturally connects people, ideas and values.

Prime Minister Uk expressed his gratitude to the ambassador for the continuous support that Bulgaria provides to the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that the Sarajevo Canton recognizes culture as a strategic sector.

“In the Sarajevo Canton, culture is experiencing a real revival. We are investing more than ever before, renovating the infrastructure, supporting local creators and opening the doors to cooperation with the whole world. Bulgaria is an important partner for us, we want to build new cultural bridges between Sarajevo and Sofia. We are ready for deeper cooperation through the exchange of exhibitions, guest artists and connecting institutions from the two countries,” said Prime Minister Uk.

In a press release, the Protocol and Press Service of the Canton of Sarajevo states that the meeting concluded with a mutual desire to make cooperation concrete, through joint projects in the coming months.
