The storms that hit Central Europe last weekend did not have a particular impact on the hydrological regime in the Adriatic Sea basin in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, according to Fena news agency and the answer from the Agency for the Adriatic Sea Water Area Mostar.

According to the collected data, i.e. the measured values at the hydrological stations in the basin, in the past period no significant increases in the water level of the watercourses were recorded, except for a slight increase in them.

On the Neretva river, downstream of Mostar, the flows in a short time during the weekend reached values slightly higher than the average annual values, while on other watercourses (Buna, Trebižat, etc.) the flow values did not reach the values of the average annual flows.

At meteorological stations that are under the jurisdiction of the Agency for the Water Area of the Adriatic Sea from 01.09. this year, until today, precipitation has been registered in the amount of 100 mm to 150 mm, depending on the location.

This amount of precipitation could not cause problems with floods and torrents.

According to meteorological forecast models, no significant precipitation is expected in the coming period, so no rise in water levels in watercourses is expected, the Agency for the Water Area of the Adriatic Sea in Mostar pointed out.
