Minister of Trade, Tourism and Environmental Protection of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Emil Balavac secured a donation of 24 hand-held radio stations for the Professional Fire Brigade (PVP) Mostar, with the support of the Czech non-governmental organization “People in Need”.

The donation arrived only 20 days after Minister Balavac toured the area after a demanding firefighting intervention in the settlements of Zalik, Sutina, Fortica and Podveležje. Then he congratulated the firefighters on their professionalism and offered concrete help in equipping them, according to PVP Mostar.

During this period, a specification was drawn up, a donor was found, and the radio stations were quickly delivered and prepared for use, including the programming of the frequencies used by PVP Mostar.

The unit expressed its gratitude to the minister and the “People in Need” organization, adding that it was announced that this would be just the beginning of future assistance to Mostar firefighters.
