B&H tennis player Damir Džumhur successfully started his qualifications for the performance at the Grand Slam tournament of the season, the Australian Open in Melbourne. Our current best ranked tennis player has won against the South African Izak van der Merwe with the result of 6:3, 6:4. In the second round of qualifications the 21 year old tennis player from Sarajevo will play against Marco Chiudinelli.

Other two B&H representatives in the qualifications, Mirza Bašić and Aldin Šetkić have finished their qualifications and unfortunately did not win against their opponents. Our B&H female tennis player Mervana Jugić-Salkić will play against the Russian tennis player Alla Kudryavtseva on Thursday.
