Damir Dzumhur in the Second Round of Wimbledon!

damirThe best BiH tennis player Damir Dzumhur yesterday played the first round match at Wimbledon against American Denis Kudla. Dzumhur celebrated with 3: 2 in sets, 7: 6, 7: 5, 2: 6, 1: 6, 6: 3.

Kudla was better at the beginning of the match. He lost only one point in the first three service games, but he could not make the break, although he was close in the fourth game. Kudla had three break points, but Dzumhur did not give up.

In the sixth game Dzumhur had 40:15 on his serve, but Kudla came back and made a break for the lead of 4: 2. Dzumhur won the break in the next game. Although Kudla won only one point up to this point in the service, the American was helpless.

At the opening of the second set, Dzumhur lost his service game. Kudla won the break, and then confirmed his lead for 2: 0. In the sixth game of the first set, Dzumhur managed to return. He led with 40: 0 in the service of Kudla, but the American took the lead with four straight points.

However, after a great struggle, the best BiH tennis player after a break comes to tied score (3: 3). Dzumhur won break and got to the first lead in the second set. In the 12th game of the second set, Dzumhur won two breaks, used the second one and comes to the lead of 2: 0.

Dzumhur opened the fifth set with a break advantage, but Kudla returned in the next game. Both players managed to keep the next two service games. In the fifth game of the fifth set, Dzumhur won a new break and took the lead. He was able to confirm the break and reach the lead of 4: 2 in the match. He held his advantage, and Damir managed to qualify for the second round.

This is the biggest success of Dzumhur at Wimbledon, and he will play against Herbert from France in the next round.
