On Sunday, 3 March, a contemporary dance performance ”Absence III” will be held in Chamber Theatre 55.
ABSENCE III – is the third part of the chorographical cycle ALPE!ALPE! (ALPS!ALPS!) or A SCREAM OF A PIG IN THE WINTER NIGHT where the choreographer Etcha DVORNIK intensively questions the status of “stranger“.
Who is a stranger? What does it mean in a relation to the other and towards oneself? As a foreigner (or a stranger) in not the individual predisposed to subversive and the obscene by definition, different and rebellious?
Etcha Dvornik, Slovene original, work and live in Paris where she studied practically all dance techniques: from classical to contemporary, from acrobatics to American Post-modern and contact dance improvisations.
She dealt with dance as theoretician in Paris VIII. University Saint Denis, too. She created numerous shorter and longer chorographical works that were presented in various European countries and Internationals Festivals and competitions.
She won the prize at the International Choreographic Competition “Europe Dance Europe”.
