The Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to BiH Renzo Daviddi announced yesterday in Foča that it is very important for high politics to descend to the local level, so that they could become familiar with the actual problems and needs of ctiizens.
Daviddi and the Ambassador of Spain to BiH Maria Aurora Mejia Erasquin and the Bulgarian Ambassador to BIH Angel Angelov, as well as the Head of the Belgian Diplomatic Mission to BiH Jean-Pierre Bibek, Deputy Slovenian Ambassador David Brozin and the Second Secretary of the Italian Embassy Ilaria Ragnoni were in municipality Foča yesterday. The Mayor Radislav Mašić said that this local community has potential that could attract investors.
Spain has invested a lot in BiH since the end of the war until now, and that there are new investors who are interested for new investments, said the Ambassador of Spain to BiH.
Representatives of the Bulgarian Embassy were in Foča one month ago and said that cooperation with this municipality will continue.
After the meeting with the local government, they visited the headquarters of the “Euroregija Drina”, where they spoke with the President Zdravko Krsmanović.
The main topic that was discussed was the integral development of the area in the basin of the river Drina, and current activities of ‘’Euroregija”.
They spoke of the cooperation of ‘’Euroregija Drina’’ with other regions in Europe, especially with the Danube region.
The Ambassador of Spain to BiH expressed interest whether the return of Bosniaks to Foča is anticipated, and the type of cooperation of Foča with neighboring local communities.
The diplomatic visit to Foča finished with the opening of an Info Center in the national part ‘Sutjeska’, which was built with funds from the EU through the Sarajevo Development Agency Serds, announced the EU Delegation to BiH.
