Tennis Davis Cup representation of B&H in Helsinki defeated Finland with the result 2:0 during the first day of matches for the 2 round of second group of Euro -African zone.
Damir Džumhur won the first point for B&H team, as expected he defeated Juhu Paukku with the result 6:3, 7:6 (4), 6:4.
Mirza Bašić in the second single match of the program after a long game of 3 hours and 10 minutes managed to defeat the 45th tennis player in the ATP list – Jarkko Nieminen with the result 3:2 (6:3, 6:7(3), 6:3, 3:6, 8:6).
Double matches will be played on Saturday, where B&H representatives Mirza Bašić – Tomislav Brkić will play against Jarkko Nimeminen and Henri Kontinen.
Two single matches will take place on Sunday, on the last day of the program, where Džumhur will play against Nieminen, and Bašić against Paukku.
The winner of the matches Finland -B&H to join the first group of Euro-African zone will play as a host against the winner of South Africa-Lithuania.
