Day of Danube To Be Celebrated on Vrelo Bosne Today

vrelo bosneThe BIH Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations will organize a celebration of the Day of Danube entitled “Activate yourself for rivers”, which will be held today on Vrelo Bosne.

BiH is the President of the International Commission for the protection of the River Danube, and is represented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević.

“BiH was given the opportunity to show and promote efforts to preserve and protect its water resources, and the willingness for integral water management and international cooperation’’, announced the Ministry of Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.

Danube Day is a joint activity of countries in which the Danube River flows through, and is celebrated in 14 countries signatory to the International Convention on the Protection of the Danube.

The initiator of the celebrations is the International Commission for Danube Protection, whose mission is to promote and coordinate sustainable management, protection, improvement and rational use of water.

Representatives of embassies of 14 countries signatory to the International Convention on Danube Protection located in Sarajevo, representatives of ministries, institutions, municipalities and nonprofit organizations are invited to the celebration.
