On the occasion of marking the Day of Remembrance of the Victim of Vukovar and the 26th anniversary of the suffering of defenders and civilians of this heroic city, the Municipality of Tomislavgrad, the Association of Volunteers and Veterans of the Homeland war Tomislavgrad, Frama Tomislavgrad, and Croatian base Tomislavgrad, organized an event ‘Vukovar glows in my town as well’, where they have burned candles.

After lighting the candles, where the majority of visitors were schoolchildren and young people, a commemorative prayer with the remembrance of all the victims of Vukovar and Croatian defenders was led by the Guardian of the Franciscan monastery of Tomislavgrad, Fr. Sretan Curcic.

The motto club “Vukovi” from Livno, in cooperation with the coordination of associations from the Homeland war of the Municipality of Livno, also organized the candle lighting ceremony in the memory of the victims of Vukovar and all the Croatian defenders who gave their lives in this war.

The candle lighting was also prepared along the center bypass road of Livno from the bridge on the bypass towards the new roundabout, then by the bypass to the sports hall “Dalibor Perkovic Dali” and towards Franciscan monastery of St. Peter and Paul that is located on Gorica.

The secondary vocational school “Silvije Strahimir Kranjcevic” in Livno has illuminated the facade of the school in the colors of the Croatian flag in remembrance of victims of Vukovar.
