Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) in the area of Bijeljina and its surroundings carry out activities of deprivation of liberty and searches of facilities suspected of international drug trafficking.

“The action includes at least four suspects who are directly linked to the smuggling of narcotic drugs,” announced the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

SIPA activities are carried out in cooperation with the police of the MUP of the RS, as well as members of the Border Police of BiH, and cooperation and communication with partner institutions from an EU country has been achieved.

The action is being implemented under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bijeljina District Public Prosecutor’s Office.

“The Prosecutor’s Office cannot provide more information at this time,” the Prosecutor’s Office notes.
