Houthi leader Mohammed al-Bukhaiti said the United States and Great Britain “will soon realize that the attacks on Yemen are the greatest folly in their history” and that they regretted earlier attacks.
“The US and Britain made a mistake when they launched a war against Yemen because they did not benefit from their previous experiences. Every individual in this world is faced with two choices, stand either with the victims of genocide or with its perpetrators,” he wrote on the X platform.
“We will respond absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, to any attack against us with all our strength and determination, and the region will be on the verge of an escalation that no one knows the end of,” said Nasreddin Amer, Deputy Secretariat for Information.
Deputy Foreign Minister Hussain Hussein al-Izzi made a statement to the Yemeni TV channel Al-Masirah.
Said the US and UK “will pay a heavy price for this blatant aggression”.
The Houthis will continue to target ships heading towards Israel despite US and UK strikes, Houthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam said, adding that there is no justification for attacking Yemen.
“The Republic of Yemen is exposed to obvious American-British aggression in order to protect Israel and stop Yemeni operations in support of Gaza,” he said.
“They committed stupidity with this treacherous aggression and they are wrong if they thought that they would dissuade Yemen from supporting Palestine and Gaza,” said Abdulsalam.
