From 1 to 6 April, Centre for Culture ‘Sarajevo’ will organise traditional event Day of Comedy ‘Laughter is a Cure’, reports FENA.

The program of the festival will bring five plays, and it will be opened by play ‘Međuigre- 0-24’ by Zijah Sokolović.

After that play the audience will have the opportunity to see other plays such as: ‘Hamlet in Mrduša Donja village’ by Nationa Theatre of Tuzla (2 April), ‘In the Name of the People’ by Josip Pejaković (3 April), ‘How to Kill a Wife and Why’ by Jazavac Theatre from Banja Luka (4 April) and ‘Bosnian Prank’ by Comedy Theatre Rajvosa (6 April)

The sponsor of the project is Centre for Culture ‘Sarajevo’, Centar Municipality of Sarajevo, Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton and Stari Grad Municipality.

Comedy is a sort of drama, characterized by jolly content, and it portrays funny sides of humans and it makes fun of their flaws.

Comedy developed in Ancient Greece, and the themes and characters are found in everyday life. It ends by the victory of reason, justice and honesty, said Centre for Culture ‘Sarajevo’.
