In the building of the BiH institution the VII conference of the Parliamentary Commission for European Integration for countries participating in the Stabilization and Association of South East Europe (COSAP) will be held.
The Chairman of the Joint Commission for European Integration of the BiH Parliament Halid Genjac said in a statement for Fena that the participants would speak of several important topics.
First of all, they will speak of the new concept of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA-2), which will be effective from 2014-2020. A characteristic of this new concept of the IPA-2 is that countries that are in the process of stabilization would have greater access to funds, especially those in the candidate status, explained Genjac.
The following topic will be “Resolution of the European Parliament Regarding Enlargement: Strategic Interests for EU Enlargement in the Role of Commissions for European Integration in the Criteria for the EU”.
“The resolution speaks of EU enlargement in countries of this region.
Member o the European Parliament for South East Europe Jelko Kacin will present the resolution. It contains several important newspapers and statements, among which, with the conclusion that social issues have been rather neglected in the process of EU integration, it announces the need for more attention on issues of sustainable economic development’’, said Genjac.
“The third topic will be “Transformational strength in the process of European Integration-Positive Experiences and Their Applicability in the Countries of the Region”, and the Vice-President of Croatia Neven Mimica will participate.
“Our wish is to speak about the experiences of Croatia in the context of reforms that were made towards the European path’’, said Genjac.
According to the program, representatives of commissions for EU integration parliaments of BIH, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and guests and representatives of commissions from Turkey and Kosovo will attend.
The conference should include participants and representatives of the European Parliament Delegation for relations with Albania, BiH, Serbia, Montenegro and Kosovo, governments of Croatia, EU Delegation to BiH, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Foundation to BiH, Council for Regional Cooperation, Germany Bundestag, European Parliament, Directorate for European Integration in BiH and the OSCE Mission to BiH.
