What did De Niro say about Sarajevo in the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon? (Video)

De NiroHollywood actor Robert De Niro was a guest in the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and at the beginning of the conversation he recalled his visit to Sarajevo.

Fallon asked him about the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo that was awarded to him at the Sarajevo Film Festival and Hollywood actor made a joke and said that he assumes that it is a prize for lifetime achievement.

De Niro talked about why he brought his two sons to Sarajevo as well.

“We were there for only 24 hours, but it was is a very interesting place to go to and I’m glad that I did,” said De Niro, explaining that he was cruising at the Mediterranean Sea at the time.

Robert De Niro opened the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival on the 12th of August, and during his stay in Sarajevo he visited the Jewish cemetery, Zlatiste, Sarajevo Tunnel, and walked through Bascarsija.

De Niro hung out with friends of the festival, and he left Sarajevo on the 13th of August.
