Decrease in Average Prices in BiH recorded

In December 2018, on average, price level decrease of 0,3%, was recorded.

By divisions of COICOP classification in December 2018 compared to previous month, price index decreased by 0,3%.

According to data from BiH Agency for Statistics, Higher prices in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverage, Alcoholic beverages and tobacco, Health, Restaurants and hotels

By divisions of COICOP classification, in December of 2018 as compared to the previous month, the price index increased in divisions of Food and non- alcoholic beverages by 0,3% , Alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0,2%, Health by 0,1%, Restaurants and hotels by 0,1%.

Lower prices in divisions of Clothing and footwear, Furniture and house appliances, Other goods and services, Transport, Communications, Recreation and culture

By divisions of COICOP classification in December 2018 compared to previous month, the price index decreased in divisions of Clothing and footwear by 3,7%, Furniture and house appliances by 0,3%, Other goods and services by 0,3%, Transport by 1,0%, Communications by 0,1%, Recreation and culture by 0,1%.

On an annual level, on average, price levels increased by 1,6%.

The price level in December 2018 as compared to the same month of the previous year increased by 1,6%.

The average increase of prices was recorded in divisions of Transport by 10,1% Alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 6,0%, Housing and fuels by 3,6%, Health by 2,5%, Recreation and culture by 1,0%, Education by 0,5%, Restaurants and hotels by 0,5%.
