Decrease of Collected Cow Milk and Slaughtered Cattle in BiH

In May of 2019 the total amount of collected cow’s milk decreased by 3,9% in relation with the same period of 2018.

Production of drinking milk increased by 11,9%, acidified milk by 5,5%, butter and other yellow fat products by 22,7% and cow’s cheese by 3,9%, while the production of cream decreased by 0,6% in relation with the same period of 2018.

According to BiH’s Agency for Statistics, the total amount of milk fat decreased by 1,0%, while the total amount of milk protein increased by 0,9% in relation with the same period of 2018.

In May 2019 the number of slaughtered cattle decreased by 14,33% and sheep by 4,10%, while the number of slaughtered pigs increased by 22,83% and poultry by 3,84% in relation with the same period of 2018.

The net weight of slaughtered cattle decreased by 6,19% and of slaughtered sheep by 12,32%, while the net weight of slaughtered pigs increased by 30,43% and of slaughtered poultry by 4,42% in relation with the same period of 2018.
