Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turkovic met today with a delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, led by Ambassador Tolezhan Barlybayev.
Turkovic said that bilateral relations between the two countries are good and friendly and that it is important to intensify cooperation through organizing mutual visits and signing bilateral agreements.
She stressed the importance of improving economic and cultural cooperation, and organizing consultations in the coming period.
Ambassador Barlybayev expressed interest in expanding cooperation between the two countries and reminded that in 2019, an honorary consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan to BiH was opened in Sarajevo with the aim of improving relations.
He also reminded of the projects implemented in cooperation with institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of culture and spoke about the idea of building a Bosnian-Kazakh cultural center in our capital.
Together with the ambassador, the meeting was also attended by a businessman, Nigmatulin Erlan Zayrullaevich, who is currently visiting Jajce with his associates, with the intention of investing in this city in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Zayrullaevich, who owns several factories in Kazakhstan and Georgia, whose products are exported to 47 countries, is considering buying the former ‘Elektrobosna’ factory in Jajce, starting production and employing several hundred workers, stated the BiH Foreign Ministry’s Public Relations Office said.
