A delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe visited Srebrenica yesterday.
The delegation was composed of Karin Woldseth, Rapporteur for BIH of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Egidijus Vareikis, Caroline Ravaud, Head of the Monitoring Office for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and Mary Ann Hennessey, Head of the Council of Europe Office in BIH.
‘’The Council of European delegation was with us at the working meeting. We spoke to them about the situation in Srebrenica, how people live and that the economic situation is difficult. We do not have political problems, unless it is forced upon, and the only thing that we lack is economic support”, said the mayor of Srebrenica Ćamil Duraković in a statement to Fena.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Potočari memorial center and paid tribute to the victims, and spoke with members of the Association “Mothers of Srebrenica”.
