U BANJOJ LUCI POÈELO OKUPLJANJE DEMOBILIZIRANIH BORACA, VLAST PROTIV PROTESTADemobilized fighters and other citizens started to gather today in protests in Banja Luka Park “Mladen Stojanović”, to express their dissatisfaction due to the bad social state of the veterans. This gathering is organized by the Association “RS Veterans “.

Former fighters require the resignation of the entire leadership of the Veterans’ Organization of RS (BORS), led by Pantelija Ćurguz, because they believe that he did not work in the interest of the Veterans category.

However, Ćurguz insists that he will not resign, and he claims that the requests of the Association “Veterans” are not legitimate.

He calls on fighters to not be victims of provocations, because “people are committed, according to a scenario in our environment, to destroy the constitutional and legal order of the RS”.

Former fighters from the park “Mladen Stojanović” said to Ćurguz that he “should be ashamed of his actions”.

“While politicians and war profiteers for years are getting enormously rich, demobilized soldiers and their families have become social cases”, claims dissatisfied fighters that announced protests at 13:00.

RS President Milorad Dodič said yesterday that everyone has the right to peaceful protests in accordance to the law. He also claimed that 28 February was not accidentally chosen, a day before 1 March, the day when Bosniaks celebrate Independence Day, which is not acceptable for the RS.

On the other hand, the former fighters said of such a remark by President Dodik as ”offensive and not appropriate for his position” and they rejected any connection with 1 March.
