Representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by BiH Assistant Minister of Defense for International Cooperation Zoran Šajinović, received Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Political Affairs and Security Policy Javier Colomina in Sarajevo.
Commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo, Brigadier General Pamela McGaha, and head of the office of the Minister of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kemal Korjenić, also attended the meeting and discussed the previous cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and NATO, as well as the possibilities of enhancing this cooperation.
Deputy Assistant Secretary General of NATO Colomina expressed satisfaction that the BiH Council of Ministers unanimously adopted the BiH Reform Program for 2021 and 2022, as well as expectations that this could mean a new impulse in the relations between the Alliance and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also called the decision of the UN Security Council to extend the mandate of the EUFOR mission encouraging, which represents a significant shield of a safe and stable environment for BiH.
Assistant Minister Šajinović presented the guest with the current stages of various cooperation programs with NATO. The value of the aid package provided by the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCB), initiated at the NATO Summit in Madrid, was particularly emphasized.
