Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers of BiH and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Staša Košarac will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan from today until May 21.

Košarac will participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum /WUF13/ in Baku, organized by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Cities and Human Settlements Program /UN Habitat/.

The World Urban Forum is the leading global conference dedicated to sustainable urbanization, established by the United Nations in 2001 to address one of the most important challenges facing the world today: rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, climate change and public policies.

The first World Urban Forum was held in 2002 in Nairobi, Kenya, and has been organized around the world since then.

The 13th session of the World Urban Forum is expected to bring together thousands of participants – political officials, academia, the business sector, experts, and representatives of civil society.
