Ali Babacan, the Deputy Turkish Prime Minister for Economy, confirmed his participation at the 4th international investment conference Sarajevo Business Forum (SBF) 2013-Models of Growth and Lessons for Southeast Europe’’, which will be held on 17 May in Sarajevo.
In the framework of the 4th SBF, which is organized by BBI Bank in cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Babacan will participate in the panel with Mahathir Muhamed, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia and Danilo Turk, the former Prime Minister of Slovenia. They will present models of growth and development of Malaysia and Turkey, and give an overview of the experience of the accession of the first country in the former Yugoslavia to the European Union.
As one of the biggest leaders of the 20th century, Mahatir will share his experience in the development of Malaysia from a predominantly underdeveloped country to one of the highly industrialized and developed countries in Asia, while Babacan will present to the public and investors a vision of success and rapid growth in Turkey.
The focus of the 4th SBF is the experience of world leaders on the basis of which they will establish new platforms for the development potential that BiH and countries in Southeast Europe possess.
In the second part of the conference, world experts, representatives of institutional investors form the areas of agriculture, infrastructure, energy and tourism will present the best international experience from these areas, and ways to develop the potential that we have.
During the conference, just like last year, interested business people will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings.
