Revenues from indirect taxes in ten months of this year amounted to eight billion and 800 million BAM and are higher by 588 million BAM or 7.15 percent compared to the same period last year, when they amounted to eight billion and 212 million BAM, the Administration for indirect taxation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ITA BiH) announced.
As stated, 935 million BAM indirect taxes were collected in October 2023 alone, which is 72 million BAM more than in October 2022.
After the ITA returned one billion and 791 million BAM of VAT refunds to the economy in ten months of 2023, the net collected revenues were distributed to beneficiaries in the period January-October 2023, namely the state, the entities and the Brčko District , amounted to seven billion and eight million BAM and are higher by 508 million BAM compared to the income that users received from the Single Account for the same period in 2022.
For the financing of state institutions in the period January-October 2023, an amount of 849 million BAM has been allocated. The amount of three billion and 807 million BAM was distributed to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, two billion and 96 million BAM to the Republika Srpska and 212 million BAM to the Brčko District.
Based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 BAM), the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina received an additional 186 million BAM, the Republika Srpska 123 million BAM and the Brčko District 6.3 million BAM. The difference represents a reserve in a separate account for tolls in the amount of 0.25 BAM, the announcement states.
