Deputy US Ambassador Visited SIPA

svake-sekunde-korupcija-u-bih-proguta-47-maraka-godisnje-milijardu-i-400-miliona The Deputy US Ambassador to BiH Nicholas Hill visited yesterday the State Agency for Investigation and Protection (SIPA) and spoke with the Director Goran Zubac.

The meeting was attended by representatives if ICITAP and the attaché for security to the US Embassy to BiH.

This is the first official visit of a Deputy Ambassador of the US to SIPA.

Director Zubac presented all the relevant details related to the successful functioning of the Agency with a particular emphasis on the realization of the fight against organized crime and corruption.

He said that the priorities of the Agency are the fight against terrorism, organized crime and financial crime and corruption, as well as cooperation with partner agencies in the country and in the region.

They spoke of the construction of a regional center in the fight against terrorism in the Balkans and beyond.

Zubac pointed to the excellent cooperation with the US Embassy to BiH and ICITAP, saying that we are all on the same task and that SIPA would not be what it is without the support of the US Embassy.

The Deputy Ambassador Nicholas Hill said that the US Embassy to BiH has excellent relations with SIPA, and noted that they are impressed by their latest actions.

He especially congratulated the efforts of the Agency in the fight against corruption.
