”The Canton Sarajevo (CS) will have a record filling of its budget this year, and I think we will compensate for the 100 million that were denied to us by the shameful decision of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) during the distribution of annual budgets, ” told Nihad Uk, the mandate holder for the new convocation of the CS Government and Secretary General of Nasa Stranka (Our Party).

“I will do everything for the citizens of CS to ride the tram to Hrasnica, we will get new trams. It is planned to go by trolleybus to Vogosca… Numerous other infrastructure projects are also planned, and in the end we can go out in front of the citizens and say ‘Here you see, we did a good job,'” said Uk.

He also referred to the problem of air pollution in the canton, stressing that it takes time to find a solution.

“The next winter will not be any drastically better than the previous ones. That requires time, a lot of things have been neglected in the past 30 years,” said Uk.

As he mentioned, the quality of the air in the CS can be improved by improving public transport.

“Now we have 25 new trolleybuses. When we improve public city transport, citizens will not have to drive old cars that pollute the air, because there is no adequate public transport”, pointed out Uk.

According to Uk, the systemic resolution of air quality is a long-term and complex process.

“We will work on that process and the degree of pollution will decrease in the next four years, I can promise that,” said the mandate holder for the new convocation of the CS Government.

It will be challenging, but I don’t think there will be any problems

Uk also commented on the composition of the new CSGovernment, which has yet to be made official.

“It will certainly be challenging, it is not easy to manage individuals who are part of a system such as the Government, but I don’t think it will be a problem,” noted Uk.
