The Federal Department of Pension and Disability Insurance has begun payment of pensions on Tuesday, despite the blockade of the budget, and non-adoption of the budget for 2019.

The Institution called on the PIO Law in order to protect pensioners and their pensions, as the FBiH Government guarantees the payment of pensions under the new law.

From PIO’s FBiH it was confirmed to Klix.ba news website that payment began today and that all pensioners will get their pensions by tomorrow.

The lowest pension this month amounts to 348 BAM, and the highest 2.174 BAM.

When it comes to payment of salaries, but also compensation for the war veterans and other categories, it is currently blocked in the FBiH until the budget is adopted.
