‘Diaspora Invest’ Project – Livno can become a desirable Investment Destination for Expats

Representatives of the USAID’s “Diaspora Invest” project and the City of Livno agreed on ways of cooperation in order to strengthen the role of expatriates in the economic and social development of this area.

The Livon region, known for large waves of migration during the 20th century, is today looking for opportunities to renew ties with people who originate from that region.

This was also recognized by the USAID, which made Livno one of the 26 local self-government units – a partner in project activities.

The events and gatherings of the diaspora have been organized in Livno for a long time, and now this activity will further intensify.

In addition to these activities, it was stated, the partners will focus on the development of a communication strategy and tools for cooperation with the diaspora.

Mapping the diaspora will be a key step in identifying potential collaborators and investors beyond the borders of Livno.

This strategy will enable the effective exchange of information, the establishment of partnerships and the creation of bridges between the diaspora and the local community, the USAID “Diaspora Invest” project announced.
