Ambassador Sven Alkalaj, Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations, has signed a Joint Declaration establishing diplomatic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Barbados.
On behalf of the State of Barbados, the statement was signed by Ambassador Elizabeth Thompson, the Permanent Representative to the United Nations. The signing took place at the premises of the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United Nations in New York.
The topic of climate change dominated the exchange of ambassadors’ views after the signing ceremony. Both sides stressed the need to intensify efforts by the United Nations, as well as all other international actors, to curb global warming.
The interlocutors agreed that the exchange of bilateral visits at the highest level would contribute to the further development of friendly relations between the two countries.
