After receiving the Nobel Prize in Literature, Peter Handke, Zeljko Komsic, the chairman of the BiH Presidency, addressed a letter to the president of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Mats Malm, as well as to King Charles XVI Gustav of Sweden.
But, as Avaz news portal was told in the Office of the President of the Presidency of BiH, this letter was never translated into English or arrived at the desired address. Namely, the letter was not translated by the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This information was confirmed to Dnevni Avaz newspapers by Zeljko Komsic.
“This was to be done by the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as is the case with all acts officially delivered from the BiH Presidency to foreign countries. Such is the procedure. Upon learning that the BiH Ministry of Foreign Affairs had acted differently, we decided to make an exception and send the letters in English. In addition, it is completely inaccurate that the letters were returned,” was stated by the Komsic Office.
