Eighteen year old John Hadley told US media that it should be done as a memorial to all the victims of genocide in Srebrenica, the municipality in which two decades ago, the Bosnian Serb army killed 8,000 Muslim men and boys.

Hadley said that this idea was born last year, but this week he started with its detailed implementation. As he said, the aim would not be only to honor the tragically killed in Srebrenica, but also to send a message to all those who live in St. Louis that this city is one big community.

This young man started a petition which he plans to give to the mayor, and as he says, he managed to collect about 320 signatures by Saturday afternoon.
