The management board of the Association of Professional Unions of Doctors of Medicine and Dentistry of the Federation of BiH announced a half-hour warning strike on May 7, and they are filing a lawsuit against the Federal Government.

The union will sue the government for what they say is discrimination because it is denying them a new collective agreement.

In an interview for BHRT dr. Marina Berberović, president of the Union, said that the Union submitted a request for negotiations with the Federal Government for a new collective agreement 10 months ago.

Doctors and dentists are asking the Federal Government to standardize the salaries of doctors in the entire territory of FBiH.

Berberović has pointed out on several occasions that it is unacceptable that doctors’ salaries, from canton to canton, differ by as much as 50 percent, that is, that the differences in doctors’ salaries in some cantons go up to 1,000 BAM, BHRT writes.
