After the military exercise “Pobjednik 2026” (Eng. “Winner 2026) at the Pešter ground in Serbia, the SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated that he is proud of what the Army of Serbia demonstrated, emphasizing that people in Republika Srpska consider this military as “their own.”
Dodik praised the demonstrated military technique and skills of the Army of Serbia, especially emphasizing modernization, digitalization, and implementation of new technologies.
“Serbia and the Serbian people can be proud of what the Army of Serbia demonstrated at Pešter. The ‘Pobjednik 2026’ exercise was an impressive display of strength, knowledge, and the progress Serbia has made. Compared to the previous year, huge progress is visible, especially a dominant trend of digitalization, modernization, and the application of new technologies,” Dodik stated.
He added that strengthening of defense capacities, according to him, was made possible by Serbia’s economic progress.
“We in Republika Srpska experience this emotionally. This is like our army, and I view its success as my own. A strong Serbia is a pillar of support for the Serbian people, wherever they live,” Dodik said.
He praised the policies of the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.
“Serbia is headed in the right direction. I am grateful to the President Aleksandar Vučić that Republika Srpska can be here today and that we can be proud together of the strength of Serbia and the Army of Serbia,” Dodik said.
Vučić, commenting on the military exercise, said that Serbia has no intention to attack anyone.
“It is clear to everyone that we are not attacking anyone; our only goal is to preserve peace,” Vučić said, assessing the participation and engagement of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces in the exercise as very good.
At the “Pobjednik 2026” live-fire military exercise, held at the temporary Pešter military ground in Serbia, numerous new and modernized assets equipping the Serbian Armed Forces were presented.
More than 2,000 members of the Serbian Armed Forces participated in the exercise, with the involvement of over 500 key pieces of military equipment.
