The House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) adopted changes to the Law on Salaries and Remunerations in BiH Institutions under an urgent procedure.

In order for the amendments to the law to enter into force, they need to be confirmed by the House of Peoples of BiH.

The proposal to amend the Law on Salaries and Remunerations in BiH Institutions will increase the salaries of members of the Armed Forces of BiH (AFBiH), the police, and civil servants.

As explained in the bill, their salary should be calculated by the base of 600 BAM, and for elected and appointed officials in the earlier amount of 535 BAM.

With the amendments, it was proposed that the base of 600 BAM does not apply to persons who have a salary calculation coefficient higher than 8.0.

The amendments were proposed by the member of the BiH Presidency, Denis Becirovic, and unanimously adopted by the BiH Presidency.
