Milorad Dodik, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) said yesterday, after a meeting with the ruling coalition, that the Republika Srpska (RS) does not want a war and called on representatives of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) and the other two nations for talks.
He announced that in the National Assembly of the RS, political parties will adopt a platform based on which they will address their partners in the FBiH to discuss the future of BiH.
Dodik stated the goal of the conversation was to find a balanced solution that would satisfy all – both the entities and the constituent peoples.
He stressed that Bakir Izetbegovic’s call for war is not welcome.
“This is our response to those from FBiH who are constantly calling for war. A few hours ago, Izetbegovic called us all with a derogatory name. If they want to prevent a situation that leads to disintegration, then such kind of language should be avoided. We will not go to war, we are not preparing for any war. What Bakir, Komsic, and Dzaferovic are saying is the rhetoric of the losers,” told Dodik yesterday.
As he pointed out, RS does not want to wage war, the only option is peace.
“Let’s talk about Dayton, the Constitution, without foreigners, and let’s respect that agreement. We do not want any calls for violence or the imposition of some issues, ” Dodik mentioned.
The meeting was attended by SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, SP Petar Djokic, Demosa Nedeljko Cubrilovic, Ujedinjena Srpska Nenad Stevandic, NDP Dragan Cavic, and People’s Party of Srpska Darko Banjac, as well as President of RS Zeljka Cvijanovic and Prime Minister of RS Radovan Viskovic, together with the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Zoran Tegeltija.
