Dodik: BiH Foreign Minister suggested that we pretend to be in a Conflict

The president of the SNSD and the president of the Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, reacted on Monday to the comments of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and the president of NiP, Elmedin Konakovic, who said that Dodik had fallen into their trap.

Namely, Konakovic spoke in an interview on Friday about the fact that Milorad Dodik is not doing well in the state coalition because his new partners (referring to the Coalition of the Three) do not want to fight and are focused on progress.

Konakovic also said that they do not respond to Dodik’s provocations and incendiary rhetoric and that because of this Dodik does not know how to behave, which, he claims, is what got him caught in their trap.

Dodik responded two days ago, on Monday, and was quite harsh towards Konakovic, saying that he is an “immature and mediocre” politician who “doesn’t know what he’s doing”.

“Sometimes I think that he doesn’t even know what he’s doing. Only an immature and mediocre politician can talk about setting traps for representatives of other nations with whom he supposedly wants to talk and cooperate. Those who say: ‘When Konakovic plays for BiH, BiH loses the most‘ are smart,” Dodik stated.

Last year, Dodik made a similar statement about SDA president Bakir Izetbegovic.

In his tweet on Monday, Dodik also wrote that Konakovic asked him to pretend that they were in conflict in order to get points with the voting body.

“It wasn’t long ago when he suggested to me that we pretend to be in conflict so that he would appear stronger ‘over there among his people’. Poor and unattainable, I am talking about the part where he said ‘among his people’,” wrote Dodik.

He also said that Konakovic “thinks he can go solo in BiH by performing tricks and manipulating facts”, but that it will soon become clear to him that he is losing BiH because of this.

“If that is the goal, then he is very successful in his games on the field, except that in those dangerous games, only BiH could slip and fall,” Dodik concluded, Klix.ba reports.
