Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Presidency Member and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik commented yesterday on news released to the public two days ago from media close to the Republika Srpska (RS) regime, in connection with the preparation of his abduction.
Asked if he had any information about the alleged abduction, Dodik said no.
”I don’t believe I’m such a ‘beast‘ so they would do it that way, but I see that it has received considerable attention. The first call this morning was from my mother, who was very upset about it, so I had to spend a few hours to explain to her what it is all about,” he explained yesterday.
However, he says that the only thing that can worry him now is the fact that no one from NATO denied this (dis) information.
”But what can we do. To tell you the truth, I haven’t even read it, but I’ve heard that NATO will do something against me, but I don’t think NATO will sink so low,” Dodik added.
The media in RS, close to Milorad Dodik, placed the news yesterday that NATO is preparing to kidnap the SNSD leader. The news was published by the pro-Serbian portal IN4S in Montenegro. However, it became relavant as it was broadcast by leading media in RS, including the public service Radio Television of RS (RTRS) and the Srna agency.
The goal of the news, by all accounts, is to intimidate the public and cause panic. It is clear that NATO does not use such methods and that the increased presence of EUFOR in BiH is solely a consequence of concerns following Russia’s attack on Ukraine.
